Mac· Applies to in-device materials, optional external features, email accounts, and additional deck purchases on Quiz Notebook Desktop for Windows. The following instructions take precedence over the general account and payment instructions on the website for this desktop app. Wrongnote Makerare separate products.
1. Separate learning materials from accounts
To log in to an additional deck purchase account, the user's problems, notes, imported PDFs, or photos are not sent to the account server. Basic learning materials are saved on the device. Export, sharing, and external services selected separately by users are subject to their respective functions and service guidance. Basic learning features can be used without logging into an additional deck account.
Optional external features
- AI Draft Consultation: Only if you have registered your OpenAI or Anthropic API key and directly confirmed the post to be sent, send the article along with required API authentication information and model settings directly to the selected provider via HTTPS. YSEEDU do not go through the account server. The key is stored in the encrypted storage of this device, and API fees may be charged to the provider's account. It does not automatically read or send the entire PDF, photo, or materials from other apps. The consultation result is a suggestion, not a completed execution, and no AI configuration is required for basic training.
- OpenAI requests turn off re-viewing and saving responses, but this does not guarantee no retention. The default abuse prevention record is up to 30 days, with legal and safety exceptions, as well as model, cache, and account conditions. OpenAI API Data Guide. General input and output retention for the Anthropic API is within 30 days, with exceptions due to contract, law, and usage policies. Anthropic API Data Guide. Check the foreign processing and storage policies of the chosen provider and do not include sensitive personal information. If you do not wish to transmit, you can either refrain from making AI requests or delete registered keys.
- Preview together · Connect personal folders: When a user opens a room and allows participation, the selected questions and participant responses/results are processed between devices on the local network. Private folder connection stores the learning log file at a location selected by the user. If that location is a cloud sync folder, the upload-storage policy of that service applies. This is not an automatic public publishing feature.
- Voice and usage support: When you download the provided audio, the file address and network information required for access are sent to the content host. Deck Request and Support emails are sent by checking the content within the user's mail app, and the user's inquiry and contact information are used for answers.
Sync the location of selected materials and study materials
Auto-sync is turned off by default. Before turning it on, you will be informed about the transfer details and obtain consent. The selected set of cards, manually edited content, images, study locations, random account identifiers, and modified version identifiers are encrypted and stored in a separate storage on the South Korean Azure server, and then transferred between devices logged in with the same account. The entire original PDF is not automatically uploaded, and official paid deck texts and store purchase rights are not stored in this personal data repository.
If sync is turned off, new transfers are stopped, but server data already stored will remain until the account is deleted. Deletions from other devices are not automatically propagate, and at the same time, changes are preserved without overwriting and are preserved for users to choose from. When an account is deleted, synchronized data is deleted from the operational storage and from registered recovery backups within up to 7 days. Training materials are not included in the 90-day fraud-prevention hash storage.
2. Items and Purposes of Collection
- Account: Email, random account identifiers, and sign-up time are used for email authentication and purchase linkage. This email account service is shared with Wrongnote Maker, and each product's license is separate.
- Certification: It stores the login link and session hash, expiration date, and authentication and usage time. The login link is valid for 15 minutes, and the session lasts up to 30 days. Session information on your device is protected by the encrypted storage function of the operating system.
- Apple Additional Deck Purchase: Store transaction/original transaction identifiers, product identifiers, random purchase linked account tokens, trial vs. actual purchase distinction, valid/cancellation status, and confirmation time. Handle deck access and purchase restoration based on Apple verification results. Do not receive or store card numbers, Apple account passwords, and Apple account emails from Apple. License emails are entered directly by the user into the app. This Mac purchase path does not use RevenueCat.
- Buy additional Microsoft decks: It stores transaction/held item identifiers, store/deck product identifiers, valid/canceled status, change/expiration/confirmation times, and service account link information. For purchase confirmation, pseudonymous identifiers created by the service account and purchase inquiry keys issued by the Microsoft Store are sent to Microsoft. Lookup keys are encrypted and stored on the server and used to reconfirm validity. It also manages temporary identifiers and processing status of purchase/restore requests. Deck permissions are determined based on Microsoft verification results, and Microsoft account passwords, payment card numbers, Microsoft account emails are not received and stored. The service login email is entered directly by the user. This Windows purchase path does not use RevenueCat.
- Security: Handles IP addresses upon request and manages hashes, frequency, and expiration times to limit excessive requests. Does not leave request body text or login links in the operational error log. Account services are not used for advertising, location estimation, or learning behavior analysis.
3. Retention Period and Deletion
Email, account, and linked purchase information will be retained until account deletion. Expired login temporary records will be automatically cleared 24 hours after expiration, and expired sessions and request restriction records will be automatically cleared. Even if you request a new login link, the previous link will be affected by each validity period, so please use the most recent requested email.

Quiz Notebook· Wrongnote Shared Account, Session, and Server Purchase Connection Information and Synchronized Learning Materials will be deleted together. Access to other logged-in devices and purchase restoration may be affected. Learning materials stored on devices are managed separately.
After deletion, the minimum hash and deletion time to prevent duplicate links due to fraudulent use or purchase Up to 90 days Automatically organize within the archives. Original email texts and study materials are not included in this retention target. The pre-deletion records of registered recovery backups we manage Up to 7 days It will automatically delete the data. Backups will not be viewed in the regular service.
Account deletion is not a refund of store payments or canceling subscriptions. If you are subscribed to another product, you must cancel separately from that store. The transaction records maintained by Apple and Microsoft in each store are subject to the respective provider's policies.
4. Outsourcing and External Processing
- Microsoft Azure: Korea Central processes and stores account service and purchase confirmation data and directly activated synchronization training materials. The above account, deletion, and backup periods are applied. Microsoft Privacy Policy.
- Resend, Inc.: Login emails are sent from the United States. When requesting a login email, the received email, content containing a one-time login link, and transmission identifiers and results are processed as encrypted HTTPS communications. The public retention policy is 30 days for email and transmission logs, and up to 7 days for additional provider backups. Contact: privacy@resend.com. This is for email verification, and if you do not wish to transfer, you can either not use your email account or delete it. - Apple: We verify the validity of the user's requested store purchase, restoration, and transaction. Our servers verify validation with Apple using transaction identifiers and compare the account link values of signed transactions. Apple is an independent store provider that processes payments and account information. Apple Privacy Information.
- Microsoft Store: We verify the validity of Windows purchases, restorations, and owned decks requested by users. Our servers transmit pseudonymous identifiers, purchase inquiry keys, and target app or product identifiers via HTTPS to the Microsoft purchase verification service. Microsoft is an independent store provider that processes payments and account information, and Microsoft policies apply to overseas processing and storage. Microsoft Privacy Information. Personal information is not sold or provided for advertising purposes. Account communication uses HTTPS, and access to operational servers is restricted.
5. Rights, Inquiries, and Changes
For inquiries regarding viewing, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, or overseas processing: YSEedu Personal Information Manager, (와이에스이에듀) support@quiznotebook.com. Only the minimum information required for identity verification is requested; passwords or card numbers are not required. Data and purposes
Your questions, notes, PDFs and photos are not sent to the account server for login or purchase verification. Core study materials stay on your device; separate sharing or external services you choose have their own notices. Core study features do not require an additional-deck account. We process the email you enter, random account identifiers, signup dates, hashed authentication credentials and verification/expiry dates for email sign-in and purchase linking. The email account service is shared with Wrongnote Maker, but product entitlements are separate.
For Apple deck purchases we retain transaction and original transaction IDs, product IDs, random app account tokens, production/sandbox environment, validity/revocation status and verification times. We do not receive card numbers, Apple passwords or Apple account email addresses from Apple. This Mac purchase path does not use RevenueCat. IP addresses and hashed request counters are used to limit abuse, not for advertising or location inference. Authentication links and request bodies are excluded from service error logs. The local session uses operating-system encryption.
For Microsoft deck purchases we retain transaction/item IDs, store and deck product IDs, validity/revocation status, modification/expiry/verification times and service-account links. We send an account-derived pseudonymous identifier and the Microsoft Store-issued purchase-query key to Microsoft to verify ownership. The key is encrypted on our server and used for revalidation. Temporary purchase/restore request identifiers and processing status are also recorded. Access is based on Microsoft verification. We do not receive Microsoft account passwords, payment card numbers or Microsoft account email addresses; you enter your service-login email yourself. This Windows purchase path does not use RevenueCat.
Optional external features
AI drafting runs only after you configure your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key and review the text to send. The app sends that text, API authentication and model settings directly to the selected provider over HTTPS, not through the YSEEDU account server. Keys are encrypted on this device. Your provider may charge your API account. The app does not automatically read or upload whole PDFs, photos or other apps. AI replies are suggestions, not completed actions. AI is optional; you may avoid requests or remove your key.
OpenAI requests disable response storage for later retrieval; this does not guarantee zero retention. Default abuse-monitoring retention is up to 30 days, with legal/safety exceptions and model, cache and account conditions. See OpenAI data controls. Anthropic normally deletes API inputs/outputs within 30 days, subject to contractual, legal and usage-policy exceptions. See Anthropic API retention. Review the selected provider's international processing and retention terms; do not include sensitive personal data.
If you open a local-network exam room and admit participants, selected questions, participant responses and results are processed between those devices. Optional personal-folder linking writes study-record files to the location you select; a cloud-synced location uses that provider's upload and retention settings. These features do not publicly publish your materials. Audio downloads send requested file addresses and necessary network data to the content host. Support and deck-request messages are reviewed and sent through your mail app; the information you send is used to reply.
Optional personal synchronization
Automatic synchronization is off by default. Before enabling it, you review and confirm what will be sent. Selected cards, your edits and images, study positions, random account identifiers and revision identifiers are stored encrypted in a separate Azure database in South Korea and transferred between devices signed into the same account. Whole original PDFs are not uploaded automatically. Official paid-deck content and store purchase rights are not stored in this personal-data database.
Turning sync off stops new transfers; previously stored server data remains until account deletion. Deletions are not automatically propagated between devices. Concurrent edits are preserved for your selection instead of silently overwriting them. Account deletion removes synchronized materials from active storage and registered recovery backups within seven days. Learning material is excluded from the 90-day anti-abuse hash retention.
Retention and deletion
Account and purchase links remain until account deletion. Email links last 15 minutes; their temporary records are cleaned after a further 24 hours. Sessions last up to 30 days and expired sessions and rate-limit records are cleaned automatically. In the app choose Additional decks → signed-in account → Delete account. This removes the shared Quiz Notebook / Wrongnote account, sessions, server-side purchase links and synchronized learning materials for that email, affecting other devices and restoration. It does not erase local learning files, refund purchases or cancel store subscriptions.
Minimal anti-abuse deletion hashes and dates are removed within a maximum of 90 days. They contain no plaintext email or learning materials. Registered recovery backups we manage expire within a maximum of 7 days and are not used for normal service queries. Transaction records retained by Apple and Microsoft are governed by the respective store provider's policy.
Providers and rights
Microsoft Azure hosts account data and explicitly enabled synchronization materials in Korea Central, South Korea, under the periods above. Resend, Inc. processes recipient email, the login message/link and delivery metadata in the United States via encrypted HTTPS when you request email sign-in. Published standard retention is 30 days for email/logs plus up to 7 additional days for provider backups; contact privacy@resend.com or our support for deletion assistance. If you do not want this transfer, do not use email login or delete the account; account-dependent deck purchase features will be unavailable. Apple processes checkout, restoration and transaction verification under its own policy. Microsoft Store processes Windows checkout, restoration and ownership verification. Our server sends a pseudonymous identifier, purchase-query key and app/product identifiers to Microsoft over HTTPS. International processing and retention follow Microsoft’s privacy policy. App licenses, additional-deck rights and Wrongnote Maker access are separate. We do not sell personal data or provide it for advertising.
Contact support@quiznotebook.com for access, correction, deletion, restrictions and transfer questions. We request only minimum identity verification, never passwords or card numbers. Changes and effective dates are published here with additional notice or consent where required.
