First practice: one note and one card

Create short new practice material before changing real work. If screen labels differ from those below, check the visible label and pause.

  1. Simple notes · New note · Save

Create a new simple note, add a short title and text, save it, and check for the saved indicator.

  3. My study space · Show answer

Open the practice deck in the study space, reveal the answer, and record your result.

Save and return in the same browser

Notes and basic decks are stored in this browser on this device. Reopen the same browser profile and check that your work is present. Export file backups before clearing browser data or switching devices. Device storage is not cloud sync.

Note and deck backups

A note backup and a deck device backup are different files. Keep both if you need both. A recovery-key file contains no deck content.

  • Simple notes: Back up note
  • My decks: Export device backup

Private sync for chosen decks

Sync is optional and needs a valid web pass, sign-in, device registration and activation, your saved recovery key, and sync enabled for each chosen deck. It does not upload every deck automatically.

Settings and account · Unlock sync · Private sync

The key file contains no deck content. Saving a key and exporting a local deck backup are separate tasks. The downloaded key file is plain text; move it to safe storage.

Restore only when needed

To load synced decks on another device, use the original account and previously saved recovery key. A new key cannot open old encrypted decks. Restoring a note backup and loading synced decks are separate. Pause before deleting or overwriting existing work.

  1. Sign in with the same email as the existing decks. Register and activate the device.
  2. Load the saved .txt file, or open it and paste the complete QN1- string into the key field. The file is read only in this browser.
  3. Confirm safe storage and unlock sync. Creating a new key cannot open your existing decks.
  4. Use “Load synced decks” to check the server. Sync checks every 30 seconds while this page is open and the device is active. Conflicting local edits are kept for comparison.

The operator cannot retrieve or replace the key to open existing ciphertext. If another page is still unlocked, save the key there. A readable local deck or deck backup can still be recovered separately without the key. If all readable copies and the key are gone, server ciphertext alone cannot restore the decks. Never send the key to support, chat or an AI prompt.
